The Subject Index page lists all of the articles published on the blog over the last three years. All of the titles are grouped into sections: Printed and Woven Design, Carpet and Rug Design, Tapestry Design, Embroidery Design, Lace Design, Wallpaper Design, Decoration and Ornament. Each individual title is linked to the actual posted article so that any heading will take you immediately to the relevant text. This feature will be constantly updated and will make it much easier to reach relevant articles.
The Image Library page also has headings: Printed and Woven Design, Carpet and Rug Design, Tapestry Design, Embroidery Design, Lace Design, Wallpaper Design, Decoration and Ornament. These are directly linked to The Textile Blog's extensive flickr image library. Each heading will take you to the relevant section of flickr where you will find images placed chronologically.
These two pages have been added in order to help facilitate the ideal of The Textile Blog as being a resource. They will hopefully make it easier to use the different sections of the blog and also produce a more pleasing experience.
The Textile Blog has a number of other improvements and additions that will be unrolled within the next few weeks. It has always been the intention that the blog be both a helpful and interesting resource and the first step in both discovering and questioning the historical and traditional links, ideals and purpose of textile design, decoration and craft.
Please feel free to add any suggestions that might help improve the resource.
