Snake Poll

I have added a snake poll to the right sidebar of my blog. Please pop over and check all the statements that apply to you in your local area.

I have had a handful of people email me and tell me that they see snakes quite often. I wrote in my snake challenge that we rarely see snakes so it got me to thinking about how we all have such different environments.

Please take a moment to take the poll so we can see how all of you have experienced snakes in your own backyard or neighborhood.

New Poll about the Outdoor Hour Challenges

I am having a hard time coming up with a new focus for the Outdoor Hour Challenges. I have added a poll to my side bar and I would love for you to pop over to the blog and vote for your choice of the next focus area for the Outdoor Hour Challenge.

We have already focused on:
Garden Plants
Insects
Clouds-Weather
Trees
Mammals
Flowerless Plants
Birds

I am thinking about:
Invertebrate Animals other than insects (snails, earthworms, crayfish, daddy longlegs, Spiders/cobwebs, seashore creatures)
Mammals-Part 2: We could focus on farm animals or other animals we did not learn about before.
Trees-Part 2: Study different trees than the first time around.
Crop Plants: corn, pumpkins, clover, cotton, strawberries.

Outdoor Hour Challenge Poll

Please complete the poll on the top right sidebar of my blog about the Outdoor Hour Challenge. I am trying to see just what families are using for the bird challenges as resources. I was told that I am overwhelming some families with all the preparation work for each challenge.
