Peace Pagoda

What do Milton Keynes and London have in common? Answer: A Peace Pagoda.
An interesting story as to how a town planner from Milton Keynes was instrumental in a Peace Pagoda being part of the new town's development in the 1970's. (read more here...)
The Japanese monk who assisted in this project moved to London in 1984 and so began the idea and eventuality of this Peace Pagoda in Battersea Park.

The South Walk

The South walk forms part of the cloisters of Westminster Abbey. This section was rebuilt in the mid 1300's after being destroyed by fire some 100 years earlier.
Once a place where monks spent much of their time pursing leisure activities including playing games and entertaining 'ladies of rank'.
Years later it was a hangout for beggars and gamblers.
A cleanup and extensive renovations took place in the 1800's.
