Walking along the Thames Path not from from the O2 arena is a large site that has signs up saying recycling. However it is a plant that crushes rocks to gravel. I assume this is then used for roads. From here it is sent down chutes onto boats. Its destination I don't know. I wonder how long it will remain as more and more of the banks of the Thames are being turned into apartment blocks.
